Assistant Professor of Physics

Bard College

I am a theoretical physicist working at the interface of condensed matter, quantum information, and mathematical physics. I study the organizing principles behind quantum many-body systems, with an emphasis on topological phases of matter, non-equilibrium dynamics in open quantum systems, and their applications to robust quantum memories.

Before joining Bard, I was a Member at the Institute for Advanced Study and a postdoctoral fellow at the Princeton Center for Theoretical Science. I received my PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018 and my undergraduate degrees from the University of Southern California in 2013.
